ADSL -- (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)
A DSL line where the upload speed is different from the download speed. Usually the download speed is much greater. These will sometimes use two different means of transmitting. For instance a cable or satellite download coupled with a dial-up upload. These are a good connections for the average surfer that downloads more than they upload.
