Step 1. Click on the
Start menu and click on Control Panel

Step 2. Double-click
on Network Connections
|
Step 3. On the Network
Tasks menu on the left, click on Create a new connection.

Step 4. When the New
Connection Wizard opens, click Next.

Step 5. Click to place
a dot in the circle next to ‘Connect to the Internet’ then
click Next
|
Step 6. Click to place
a dot in the circle next to ‘Set up my connection manually’,
then click Next.

Step 7. Click to place
a dot in the circle next to ‘Connect using a dial-up modem’,
then click Next.
|
Step 8. Enter the name
of your internet service provider (or any name you would like
to refer to this internet connection as) in the box for ISP
name and click Next.

Step 9. Enter the area
code and phone number, then click Next.
|
Step 10. Enter your
user name in the Username box (this would have been agreed
upon between you and your ISP) enter your password, and again
to confirm it. Place a check in the boxes next to ‘Use this
account name and password when anyone connects to this computer’
and ‘Make this account the default Internet connection’, then
click Finish
|
Step 11. Click to place
a check mark in the box next to ‘Add a shortcut to this connection
to my desktop’, then click Finish.
